Geometrical optimization of city gate station’s water bath indirect heater to minimization of fuel consumption

Gas industry as one of the greatest sectors energy, has a major role in environmental issues. A category energy intensive parts gas is heaters City Gate Stations which consume colossal volumes purified gases. Different optimization strategies to improve efficiency these entailing preheating, waste heat recovery exhausts, insulating pipelines and mounting economizers or recuperators even using renewable sources have been already introduced. Besides, finding optimized geometry very essential improving efficiency. In this study, far efficient model for was introduced thermal modeling process. Based on properties inlet gas, volume passing from CGS ambient conditions, consumption fuel well heater computed function properties, CGS’s flow rate condition. Then, results were verified by real data taken Arak station Iran. The comparison proves great correlation between theoretical experimental results. Findings show that with an increase length, reduction re-sistance coincides higher hysteresis.
